The following is the text of a letter that was laid before HM The Queen on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee:

HM The Queen,
Buckingham Palace,

May it please Your Majesty

On behalf of the residents of St. Mary’s Avenue in Eastbury, SW Hertfordshire, and representing several faiths and cultures, it is my great pleasure to send loyal greetings to Your Majesty on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee of your accession to the Throne.

For seventy years Your Majesty has provided wise counsel and exemplary service to your people in the United Kingdom and the Commonwealth. Your Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee is a unique occasion in the history of our nation, and it is with great pride that we send you this loyal address and by doing so, join the countless millions across the land in celebrating this milestone.

On Sunday 5th June, the families of St. Mary’s Avenue will be celebrating Your Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee with a street party as we have done on previous occasions. At that event, we shall propose a toast to Your Majesty’s Throne and person, and the opportunity will be taken to pledge our continued allegiance to Your Majesty.

We remain your true and loyal subjects and pray that the blessing of Almighty God will always be with Your Majesty in the weeks and years ahead.

I have the honour to remain, Madam,
Your Majesty’s most humble and obedient subject.
